Mario Campos has been arrested and charged with the offense of intoxication manslaughter.  Charges were filed after Campos struck and killed a man changing his flat tire on the side of the road.  Campos allegedly drove onto the shoulder and slammed into the victim's truck.  According to police, the victim died at the scene of the accident.  To read more on this story please go to http://www.star-telegram.com/2011/07/29/3255552/pickup-driver-killed-while-trying.html

Juan Rodriguez, a former Illinois State Trooper, was sentenced to 60 days in county jail after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography.  Rodriguez was charged after an investigation determined he had viewed child pornography on a department laptop and also paid to join a child pornography website.  Rodriguez will also have to register as a sex offender and must complete 30 months of sex offender probation.  Rodriguez had already retired from the police department when he was charged and he is expected to lose his pension due to the felony conviction.  To read more on this story please go to http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/juan-rodriguez-child-porn-126285853.html

Mauricio Rocha, 24, has been charged with intoxication assault.  Rocha is accused of hitting three cars in downtown Galveston and was arrested when police found him asleep at a second crash nearby.  During the course of the first wreck, a woman unfortunately suffered a broken arm.  She was taken to a local hospital and treated for her injuries.  A sample of Rocha's blood was later taken to determine his level of intoxication.  To read more on this story please go to http://galvestondailynews.com/story/244686

Luis R. Besa has been charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.  According to police, Besa rear ended the victim's vehicle while it was waiting to turn into a store parking lot.  The victim's car was then sent into oncoming traffic and was struck by two other vehicles.  The vehicle then burst into flames and was eventually put out by a passing driver.  The passenger of the vehicle died and the driver was taken to a nearby hospital.  To read more on this story please go to newstreamz.com

Steven Eldridge has been charged with multiple offenses after allegedly killing 5 Amish farmers in a car crash.  Eldridge tried to pass a slow-moving tractor and in the process hit a van, which then collided with the tractor.  Five Amish farmers were killed in the accident and 10 others were injured.  Eldridge was charged with criminally negligent homicide, DWI, and reckless driving.  To read more on this story please go to http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/news/regions/americas/united-states/110720/amish-drunk-driver-crash

According to police, a teenage driver was pulled over on the side of the road, when two of his friends pulled over to help.  A suspected drunk driver, driving a Toyota Tundra, then collided with the young man's vehicle.  Two of the young men died and the third is currently recovering in an area hospital.  The driver of the truck is currently recovering in the hospital and will be taken to jail  and charged with intoxication manslaughter as soon as he is released.  To read more on this story please go to http://www.kfoxtv.com/news/28499256/detail.html   

Judd Eriich has been charged with intoxication manslaughter following a deadly crash.  Eriich was allegedly driving the wrong direction down U.S. 54 when he crashed into another vehicle.  The driver of the other car, Jimmy Howard, was kiled during the collision.  Eriich was released from the hospital and was jailed in lieu of $50,000 bond.  To read more on this story please go to http://www.elpasotimes.com/ci_18412213?source=most_viewed

Michael Andrist has been charged with felony DWI, his 11th time facing DWI charges.  Police pulled Andrist over after noticing he was having difficulty staying on the road.  According to police, Andrist told police he had been injecting bath salts.  He said he was doing this because it has the same effect as meth, only cheaper.  Andrist has one other felony DWI conviction from 2005, for which he was sent to jail.  To read more on this story please go to http://www.kare11.com/news/article/929473/396/Rochester-man-charged-with-11th-DWI-

Lester Juneau III has been charged with the offense of intoxication assault.  Juneau is accused of hitting two highway workers that were repaving U.S. 69.  According to police, Juneau had a blood alcohol level of .14 at the time of his arrest.  The two workers were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and their current status is unknown.  Juneau is currently out of jail after posting a bond this past Friday afternoon.  To read more on this story please go to http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/news/article/Update-Beaumont-man-who-hit-highway-workers-1448078.php
