Zachariah Dobler plead guilty in March to leaving the scene of an accident and leaving the scene of an accident after being involved in a fatal hit and run. At the time of the accident, Dobler was on probation and was driving his parent's car. He was driving his parent's car because his vehicle was equipped with a device to detect whether or not someone has been drinking. Despite Dobler's family and attorney asking for the minimum, the judge in the case decided to give him the maximum sentence of 48 years in prison.
