Trooper Sean Waterman of Smith County has been arrested and charged with the offense of driving while intoxicated. According to police, at some point Waterman's vehicle went off the road and collided with a tree. Waterman received Minor injuries during the accident and was taken into custody for DWI. After submitting a sample of his breath, it was determined that Waterman had a blood alcohol content greater than .15. The Chief said that he was disappointed in Mr. Waterman and he will face disciplinary action when he returns from medical leave.
