Bauer was allegedly intoxicated when she hopped a curb and collided with Monica Alvarez. Alvarez's husband said they were waiting to cross the street when Bauer's Mustang struck his wife. Alvarez's husband and a good samaritan ran Bauer down and held her until police arrived. Calli Dretke has been arrested and charged with the offense of intoxication assault following an accident that left one officer injured. According to police, Dretke was intoxicated when he struck multiple sheriff's vehicles while they were stopped along the side of the road. One officer was left with a broken leg as a result of the incident. The deputy was taken to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. John Goin of Dallas was indicted today for the offense of intoxication assault due to an accident that occured earlier this year. Goin was allegedly driving drunk when he lost control of his vehicle and ultimately flipped it when he left the roadway. Goin's passenger was ejected from the truck and was seriously injured. A blood sample later revealed that his blood alcohol content was above the legal limit at the time of the accident. Nicholas Ray Colunga has been arrested and charged with two counts of failure to stop and render aid and intoxication assault. According to a witness, Colunga allegedly ran a red light and crashed into pedestrians that were walking across the street. The witness then chased down Colunga on his motorcycle and detained him until police arrived. The witness said that when he reached Colunga he was vomiting and appeared to be intoxicated. Drunk Driver Leaves Woman In Critical Condition
Gerald Layfield has been arrested and charged with the offense of intoxication assault. Layfield is accused of driving drunk and then hitting Konkhahm Tran as she was checking her mailbox on Christmas eve. Layfield was one of 156 drivers charged in Harris County with intoxication crimes over the Christmas weekend. Layfield was charged with intoxication assault due to the seriousness of Tran's injuries. Gabriel Padron has been charged with the offense of intoxication assault following an early morning crash. According to witnesses, Padron was speeding and possibly racing another car when he flipped his SUV just after 2:00 a.m.. Marshall Lucas Jr. was originally charged with resisting arrest and DWI after an accident that seriously injured the other driver. Kaley Linton, the driver of the other car, sustained multiple injuries including a broken back and pelvis. Lucas has also now been charged with the more serious offense of intoxication assault.
