Rapper Tone-Loc Pleads No Contest To Assault

Four months after being arrested on weapons and domestic violence charges, rapper Tone-Loc has plead no contest to both charges.  Tone-Loc was sentenced to one day in jail and three years probation for both cases.  The rapper was arrested on June 18th after he allegedly got into a physical altercation with the mother of one of his children.  The DA's office stated that the weapon was not used in the assault, but during the course of the investigation Loc was found to be in possession of an unregistered assault weapon.  To read more on this story please go to http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1671928/tone-loc-domestic-violence-charges.jhtml

Man Arrested For Gun & Drug Possession

Charles Tyrone Phoenix has been arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule III narcotics, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and convicted felon in possession of a firearm.  During a checkpoint stop officers said they could smell marijuana coming from the car as Phoenix rolled his window down.  After conducting a search, officers discovered cocaine, hydrocodone and a handgun.  To read more on this story please go to http://colletoncounty.live5news.com/news/news/62703-cops-arrest-man-checkpoint-drug-gun-possession

Man Gets Another DWI Charge After Leaving Court

Markevia Mason was arrested for DWI 45 minutes after leaving court for a DWI charge he already had.  Mason was pulled over by police for not wearing his seatbelt.  The officer that pulled Mason over noticed that he had a strong odor of alcohol on his person and he had red bloodshot eyes.  When a sample of Mason's breath was taken, it showed he had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.07.  Mason is also facing charges of possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon.  To read more on this story please go to http://www.gastongazette.com/news/mason-56191-court-driving.html
